Cembrane has received another order through its subsidiary, Cembrane Iran, to provide drinking water for 200.000 people in Charmahal Bakhtiari Province in Iran, using its innovative SiC membrane modules. The total plant capacity is 26.000 m3/day, making it the world’s largest Silicon Carbide installation to date. The raw water is sourced from the Koohrang River.
This is the second big order using our SiC modules, the first being the 14.400 m3/day pre-RO project in Golestan Province by the Caspian Sea in 2017.
Commissioning of this project is scheduled in May-June 2018, and Cembrane has already made the first of four partial shipments.
